ArcGIS Mission Responder serves as a mobile application designed to support participants in active field missions within the context of Esri’s ArcGIS Mission platform. This app aims to facilitate real-time communication and collaboration among field operators, ensuring seamless integration with the broader mission management system.

ArcGIS Mission constitutes a targeted situational awareness solution that is fully integrated with Esri’s leading ArcGIS Enterprise platform. It enables organizations to develop, distribute, and operate within missions utilizing integrated maps, team coordination tools, and various mission-related resources such as photographs, documents, and map products. Its core functionality provides a real-time, consolidated operational picture through location sharing—accessible whether the app is active in the foreground or running in the background—thus offering remote personnel an essential understanding of immediate surroundings to answer critical questions like, “What’s happening nearby?”

As the mobile counterpart to ArcGIS Mission, Responder allows users in the field to maintain communication channels and coordinate efforts through instant messaging and live reporting. It supports collaborative decision-making and situational awareness among team members and supporting agencies.
